Lakeside Book Company is hiring an Entry-Level Manufacturing Associate for the pressroom in Owensville, MO. The position features 12-hour crews from 3am–3pm or 3pm–3am, with 36 hours one week and 48 the next, and no experience is required.

Starting pay is $19/hour with a raise to $19.75/hour after 6 months (if eligible), plus benefits and opportunities for advancement. This is a production-oriented role supporting the press team during setup and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for accurate packaging and labeling.
• Basic math and measuring skills are required for counting, quantities, and palletization.
• Mechanical aptitude helps with setting up and operating equipment.
• Teamwork is important to coordinate with press teams and shift colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Create neat bundles or bales and place them onto pallets using a lift-assist device.
• Monitor printed materials for defects.
• Accurately count and label bales and pallets.
• Set up machines to correct settings and assist with makereadies.
• Manage materials and supplies and keep the work area clean and organized.

How You Will Make An Impact

This role is an important part of the manufacturing process, assisting your press team by creating neat bales and accurately placing them onto pallets.

Job Responsibilities

• Creating neat bundles or bales and placing them onto pallets with the use of a lift assisting device.
• Monitor the printed materials for defects
• Accurately counting and labeling bales and pallets
