Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Plainfield, IN is hiring for an Order Picker Equipment Operator to support our distribution operations. You will operate turret, cherry picker, stand-up forklift, and walkie stacker to move pallets, down stack, and build pallets on a fast-paced shift.

We offer a full-time schedule with mandatory overtime, competitive hourly pay with shift differential, and benefits after a 90-day evaluation, including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• 6 months forklift experience or more.
• Ability to work at heights of 30+ feet.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate turret, cherry picker, stand-up forklift, and walkie stacker.
• Down stack pallets, stow product, move product throughout the facility, perform full case and pallet picking.

Order Picker Equipment Operator

$21.00/hr - $23.50/hr | 2nd & 3rd Shift

What You’ll Get

• $21.00/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential
• On Demand Pay
• Full-time schedule, plus mandatory overtime

Schedule Requirements

Mandatory overtime worked on Saturday and Sunday – the right candidate must be available for this overtime.

Shift

2nd (3:00pm-11:00pm), & 3rd (11:00pm-7:00am) overtime required including weekends.

Path to Permanent Employment

New hires participate in a 90-day evaluation period designed to support training and successful integration into the team.

What You’ll Do

• Operate a turret, cherry picker, stand-up forklift, and walkie stacker
• Down stacking pallets. stowing product, movement of product throughout the facility, full case picking, full pallet picking, and pallet building
• Cycle counts to maintain inventory levels
• Other duties as assigned, both on and off the powered equipment
• Follow all safety guidelines – safety shoes required

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to work mandatory overtime both throughout the week and on the weekends
