Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Associate Manufacturing professional in Thousand Oaks to collaborate across Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Facilities, and Process Development. You will gain a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, participate in batch reviews, and help implement procedures that ensure safe, compliant production.

Responsibilities include formulating drug products, leading improvement initiatives, and using SAP/QMTS/LIMS for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school/GED + 2 years manufacturing experience
• Associate’s + 6 months manufacturing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field
• 2 years GMP experience (preferred)
• MS Office and Excel proficiency
• Operate specialized equipment and computers per area

Responsibilities

• Execute drug product formulation activities
• Review manufacturing batch records
• Maintain a safe, compliant culture with preventive actions
• Create or revise standard operating procedures
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (cross-functional)
• Analyze data (SPC, CPV) and advise Engineering/Process Development
• Develop finite schedules for unit operations
• Monitor productivity and address cycle-time issues
• Elevate critical events to management
• Perform cleaning/sanitization of manufacturing areas and equipment
• Utilize systems like SAP, QMTS, LIMS
• Support introduction of new products and technologies
• Initiate and own quality records (NC, CAPA)
