Job summary

PlayCore Holdings, Inc. is seeking a material handler in Michigan to ensure correct staging of welded steel members and to operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.

Candidate should read blueprints, work safely, and contribute to team-building efforts while following company policies and continuously improving processes.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of basic material handling methods to deliver quality products.
• Proficiency in reading basic blueprints is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essential.

• Collaborates across departments to ensure welded steel members are staged correctly for processing.
• Utilizes overhead cranes to move parts.
• Occasionally uses forklift to transfer parts.
• Continuous improvement in support of department and company goals.

• Follow all of Porter Corp’s procedures and policies
• Work safely and efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• This position requires a knowledge of basic material handling methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers
• Work requires high school diploma or equivalent

Travel

This position requires minimal to no travel

Computer Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems

Other Requirements

• Able to read blue prints
