Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery in a daytime 7a–7p, full-time role in the United States. No bindery experience is required as training will be provided to operate high-speed bindery equipment.

You will join a team, handle tasks from feeding machines to packing, and uphold safety and quality standards. We offer a fast-paced, hands-on environment with opportunities for overtime and long-term career growth in print manufacturing.

Qualifications

• No bindery experience? we’ll train you.
• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.
• High School Diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience or training
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and manuals
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements
• Mechanical inclination and pride in quality work
• Reliable and team-oriented mindset

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
