Job description

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Associate in our Forge Department at the Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. You will perform a variety of tasks within the department, such as operating furnaces, cut-off saws, grinders, Glama, forklifts, and cranes. You will acquire skills on the shop floor through cross-training and job rotations.

A successful associate will demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to follow written and multiple instructions, independence, and motivation. Responsibilities include setting up and operating machines safely according to standard operating procedures, detecting faulty equipment, and identifying defective materials.

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Marking dimensions and using correct measuring tools such as tape measures
• Adhering to all safety policies, practices, and procedures
• Working from mill orders and procedures to meet customer specifications regarding dimensions and tolerances
• Maintaining required work and material identification, verifying data collection, and keeping logs and records

Basic Qualifications:
