Job summary

JST Manufacturing in the United States is seeking a Production Assistant to support production, assembly, quality control, inventory management, and maintenance under the Production Manager. The role covers a range of tasks in a manufacturing environment and requires adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Typical duties include aiding in packaging, labeling, and shipping preparation, plus assisting multiple departments as needed. A technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to read assembly blueprints.
• Maintains a clean work area inside and outside equipment.
• Able to perform basic math skills using a calculator.
• Able to utilize precision equipment such as calipers.
• Technical degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Able to produce accurate and good quality parts on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines that might include: optical laser, routers, grainer, and saw.
• Assist with assembly and manufacturing per blueprints and instructions.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to meet standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and dispose of waste materials.
• Assist in packaging and labeling of products for shipment.
• Aid in inventory management by counting, sorting, and organizing parts.
• Use measuring instruments and contribute to JST's quality program.
• Follow company procedures and stay safe in manufacturing environments.
• Maintain equipment and shop cleanliness.
• Support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting teams.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve solutions.
