Job summary

Central States Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Technician to support manufacturing, production, material handling, and quality activities across multiple production areas.

The role follows standard work practices and safety procedures to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output. You will perform safety procedures, assist operators, load, catch, trim, wrap, and perform material handling, with hands-on use of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Set up and operate assigned workstations.
• Handle materials: loading, catching, stacking.
• Monitor machine output and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Perform tasks with hand/power tools and fabrication equipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized; end-of-shift housekeeping.
• Train new hires on equipment, procedures, safety, and quality.
• Ensure quality control at each work center.
• Cross-train in multiple production areas.
