Job summary

Industrial Talent Group in Denver, CO seeks an Assembly Manager to own the final build and delivery of complex automated equipment. You will lead the assembly team and coordinate with Engineering, Fabrication, Supply Chain, and Field Service.

Base salary up to $135,000 with an annual bonus, plus opportunities to improve processes, plan production, and develop people in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience with direct reports.
• Experience building custom automated equipment, machinery, or complex electromechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical machine assembly.
• Exposure to PLCs/controls, robotics, conveyors, pneumatics, and vision systems.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, forecasting, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Fabrication, Supply Chain, and Field Service.
• ERP/MRP experience.

Assembly Manager – Custom Automation & Manufacturing

Denver, CO | Up to $135,000 + Annual Bonus | Full-Time

Are you an engineering or manufacturing leader who enjoys building machines, improving operations, and developing people?

We’re partnering with a growing custom automation and equipment manufacturer in the Denver area to hire an Assembly Manager who will take ownership of the final build and delivery of complex automated equipment.

This is not just a people-management position. We’re looking for someone who can look at the production schedule, manpower, materials, engineering requirements, and upcoming deadlines, develop a plan, and lead the team through execution.

What You'll Own

You'll lead a skilled team responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of custom automated equipment while working closely with Engineering, Fabrication, Supply Chain, Controls, and Field Service.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching, and developing the assembly team
• Creating and executing production and machine-build schedules
• Planning manpower and resources around upcoming projects and deadlines
• Driving machines from prints and components through final assembly and shipment
• Coordinating with Engineering and Fabrication to resolve build issues
• Working with Supply Chain to identify material shortages and keep projects moving
• Improving manufacturing processes, workflow, and shop-floor efficiency
• Identifying potential delays early and developing solutions before they impact delivery
• Utilizing ERP systems for planning, scheduling, materials, and production visibility
• Taking ownership of deadlines and communicating plans directly with senior leadership

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

• Previous leadership experience with direct reports
• Experience building custom automated equipment, machinery, or complex electromechanical systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical machine assembly
• Exposure to technologies such as PLCs/controls, robotics, conveyors, pneumatics, and vision systems
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, forecasting, and manufacturing processes
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Fabrication, Supply Chain, and/or Field Service
• ERP/MRP experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-moving manufacturing environment

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• High-speed packaging or packaging machinery experience
• Epicor Kinetic or similar ERP experience
• Experience improving manufacturing processes, floor layouts, capacity, or workflow
• Lean manufacturing or continuous-improvement mindset

Compensation

Base Salary: Up to $135,000, depending on experience

Bonus: Strong annual bonus opportunity
