The Assembler position at Cook Inc. involves assembling medical devices according to written specifications and manufacturing instructions.

Location: Ellettsville, IN — 3/12-hour shifts, Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices following specifications and instructions, ensuring compliance with quality policies
• Complete quality work at acceptable production rates
• Work independently or in teams effectively
• Interact professionally across various organizational levels
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Read and follow product specifications, instructions, and drawings
• Handle small, intricate parts and use various tools and machines
• Perform tasks such as cutting, gluing, bonding, and setting up equipment
• Use measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
• Perform basic arithmetic and visual inspections
• Report quality issues to management
• Occasionally work with chemicals such as adhesives and alcohol

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old

• High School Diploma or equivalent; participation in a Cook-sponsored program is acceptable

• Legally authorized to work in the US; no employment visa sponsorship provided

Physical Requirements:

• Visual acuity of 20/40 with or without correction
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Moderate noise environment
• Ability to read and understand instructions in English
• Ability to perform various physical activities and wear proper protective attire
