Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst 2/3 to join the Tooling/Metrology organization in Iuka, MS. The role supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment, interfacing with program management, engineering, quality, facilities, and procurement.

The position requires a Secret clearance, 1st shift with a 9/80 schedule, and onsite presence. Responsibilities include budget tracking, variance analysis, and cross-functional coordination with

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ related experience or Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or tooling environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Current active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable time frame.

Responsibilities

  • Define communication, usability, and design goals for the internal SharePoint site with Tooling Management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze trends and variances to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop, analyze and maintain estimates to completion; perform monthly budget, EAC, actuals and variance analysis for leadership briefings.
  • Track weekly actuals against monthly/yearly targets; maintain Earned Value Performance, EAC workbooks, QBD/QSST updates and variance analysis reports.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams across Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering and Business Management.
  • Review tool orders and manage procurement requests in TMS.
  • Track indirect spending for Tooling Material.

Manufacturing Analyst 2/3 (Level 2/3) – The role is part of the Tooling/Metrology organization in Iuka, Mississippi. Supports production, business, and other processes in a team‑based manufacturing environment, interfacing with program management, engineering, quality, facilities, and procurement.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Work with Tooling Management and stakeholders to define communication, usability, and design goals for the internal SharePoint site.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Level 2)

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ related experience or Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or tooling environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Current active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable time frame.

Basic Qualifications (Level 3)

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ related experience or Master’s degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or tooling environment.
  • Experience establishing baselines for cost, schedule, and scope, tracking actual performance against those measures.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Current active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable time frame.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience tracking financials and updating cost analysis records.
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams and external suppliers/vendors.
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Catia V5.
  • Experience in an engineering or aerospace environment.
  • Experience using Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2‑D drawings/blueprints.
Compensation
  • Salary Range 1: $59,000 - $88,400
  • Salary Range 2: $72,600 - $108,800
  • Potential discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
