Job summary

A leading accounting firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations in a manufacturing setting. The candidate will ensure compliance with GAAP, manage WIP inventory, and supervise a team of accounting staff. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus 5+ years of relevant experience, including proficiency in accounting software like SAP and advanced Excel skills, are necessary for this role. Hybrid work environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting.
• Experience managing WIP and physical inventory counts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger, and payroll.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff (typically 2–6 direct reports).
