Job summary

A Finkl & Sons Co in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit coordination. This hands-on role requires driving accurate financial reporting in a lean manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing, including public accounting, with CPA and SAP/ERP exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in public accounting (audit preferred).
• CPA preferred.
• SAP or ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, analyze financial results, and explain significant variances.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Lead the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and audit deliverables.
