Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- is seeking an Accounting Manager for a consumer products company in the San Gabriel area, Los Angeles, on a contract-to-hire basis. The role leads the accounting team and oversees day-to-day general accounting functions including GL, accruals, reconciliations, financial statements, and close cycles.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, 5+ years in accounting, 2+ years in management, and strong MS Office skills; Sage 100 is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience including closes and audits.
2+ years of management experience essential.
Background of using AI to streamline processes.
Strong systems and MS Office skills; Sage 100 preferred.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the accounting team and day-to-day general accounting functions.
Manage general ledger, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Oversee month-, quarter-, and year-end closes.
Handle inventory management and assist with audits and footnotes.
Support cash flow management and ad hoc financial reporting; research accounting pronouncements.
