Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to support financial operations across a multi-plant manufacturing network in the United States. You will handle product costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, and business partnering with operations to drive performance.

This role emphasizes accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to work with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA). CPA-aspirant and 5+ years of manufacturing accounting are preferred, with a remote US-based work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation (or working toward CPA) preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close activities related to manufacturing operations.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production variances.
• Maintain standard costing and support annual cost updates.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and performance analyses.
• Reconcile inventory and support physical inventory counts.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements.
