Job summary

Amcor Shelbyville is seeking a press operator to lead machine line operations, including changeovers, start-ups, running and shutdown, with a focus on safety and compliance with specifications.

This 12-hour shift includes nights and days; the role offers a competitive hourly wage from $23 to $29 plus a $1.50 night shift premium, overtime, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills to complete tasks in operator software.
• Ability read, understand, and follow customer specifications.
• Visual acuity for inspection including measurement devices and color identification.

Responsibilities

• Lead in all aspects of operation of lines including changeovers, machine start‑up, running and shutdown.
• Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
• Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification.
• Work with and direct the assistants to minimize job change-over and down time.
• Train and direct the assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties.
• Performs basic operator preventative maintenance to machines and/or tools.

Schedule

Shift: 12-hour, 2-2-3 Nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m Days 7:00am - 7:00 p.m.

Pay: $23-$29/hour + $1.50/hour night shift premium

Overtime: 1.5x pay for hours over 40 per week
