Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Covington, GA is hiring a Manufacturing Associate on 2nd shift to support packaging production through material handling, machine support, quality inspections, setup and housekeeping. You will help maintain safety, quality and operational performance in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will participate in quality checks, assist with machine setup and changeovers, load materials, and contribute to productivity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic English communication skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Support production equipment and operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, material loading, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Contribute to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Manufacturing Associate
$22.04/hr

2nd shift : M-F 3p-11p overtime and weekends as needed (Will need to train on 1st shift for first 3 weeks)

The Opportunity

The Manufacturing Associate supports packaging production operations through material handling, machine support, quality inspections, setup assistance, and housekeeping activities. This role provides broad exposure to manufacturing processes and serves as a key contributor to plant safety, quality, and operational performance.
