Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Covington, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to support packaging production through material handling, machine support, quality inspections, setup assistance and housekeeping in a fast-paced plant.

This role contributes to plant safety, quality and performance and includes training on 1st shift for the first three weeks, with 2nd shift hours from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, plus overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Demonstrated learning mindset, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Support production equipment and operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, material loading, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Contribute to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
