Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is seeking a Manual Winder on 2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs 3:30pm-2:00am) in Columbus, NE. You will wind and test wire onto resistor sub-assemblies, load materials, and set up machinery to meet specified resistance values.

Responsibilities

• Operate the winding and testing process to create resistor sub-assemblies per specifications.
• Receive materials and production orders, set up machines, and input parameters (wire width, value, tolerance, thickness, ohms per foot).
• Load sub-assemblies into machinery and monitor quality throughout the winding process.

Vishay Dale Electronics - Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Manual Winder on 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am). Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for producing Vishay products that meet and exceed quality and customer expectations.

What you will be doing:

• Operation includes welding, winding and test specified turns of wire onto a resistor sub-assembly to produce a specified resistance value.
• Receives capped ceramic sub-assemblies, wire, and production orders from Material Handler.
• Turns on machines and computers.
• Places correct wire on spindle and thread through machine.
• Enters correct winding parameters and order information into the computer (includes wire width, value, tolerance, and thickness) and ohms per foot of the wire.
• Loads trays/reels of capped ceramic sub-assemblies into each.

What you will bring along:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual processes or operations and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practices.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in performance of duties.
• Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to assure proper set-up and identify and make decisions regarding quality of work.
• Three months to one year training in the application of a range of complex or automated machinery, equipment, and processes
