About the Team:

The Stage Manufacturing team turns design into reality, owning the build of Terran R’s primary structures. This isn’t about turning the same bolt every day; it’s about building the systems to build the rocket. Engineers and technicians work side by side, with deep collaboration and real-time feedback, to shape how we build better and faster. With a manifest and a launch date, it’s up to the team to deliver on Terran R: solving challenges in real time, optimizing for scale, and constantly improving processes. As the vehicle evolves, so will the factory, with opportunities to apply automation, machine learning, and advanced technologies. What we build here sets the blueprint for the future of scaled launch.

About the Role:

• Collaborate with weld DEV team to perform GTAW weld processes which will include: manual and semi-automated welding, helping set up the production shop floor following 5S principles, completing GTAW weld ops on flight hardware, loading and unloading hardware with use of overhead cranes or forklifts, installing structural mechanical piece parts and tooling, performing dimensional fitment inspections, accurately using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches, performing visual weld inspections, performing precision blending using hand tools to prepare metallic surfaces for welding and non-destructive evaluation.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing process, which could include defects in materials, equipment malfunctions, or inefficiencies in production methods.
• Safety: Ensure all operations are being run in accordance with Relativity Space standards.
• Teamwork: Foster an inclusive environment for all members of the team.

About You:

• 3+ years performing GTAW welding.
• Ability to follow work order instructions and read part drawings.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Comfortable with measuring and cutting tools.

Nice to haves but not required:

• 3+ years of aerospace fabrication/mechanical experience in a related field.
• Clean room experience.

Hiring Range: $35.25 — $45.65 USD
