Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Manual Tester who can work onsite in Orlando and support testing of electronic door lock solutions used in hospitality environments.

The role requires strong manual testing skills, comfort working with physical devices, and practical knowledge of Assa Abloy lock systems, especially Visionline.

The ideal candidate can validate both software and hardware behavior, reproduce issues in real-world conditions, and clearly document defects and observations.

Primary responsibilities:

Perform manual testing of electronic door lock systems, RFID cards, mobile/digital keys, and related access workflows.

Validate Assa Abloy lock behavior for guest room access, common area access, privacy mode, deadbolt, battery alerts, and offline/online scenarios.

Test Visionline configurations, key issuance flows, room access rules, and communication between connected systems.

Execute end-to-end testing across hardware, software, and operational workflows.

Reproduce field issues reported from onsite locations and document exact steps, expected results, and actual results.

Work closely with product, engineering, operations, vendors, and support teams to isolate defects and confirm fixes.

Prepare test cases, test evidence, regression packs, and daily or weekly status updates.

Support onsite validation during installations, upgrades, configuration changes, and pilot rollouts.

Generic skillset required :

Manual testing fundamentals: Strong in test case creation, exploratory testing, functional testing, regression testing, retesting, and defect reporting

Critical: Look for candidates who can clearly explain how they design and execute manual test scenarios

Defect management: Ability to log high-quality defects with steps, screenshots, videos, logs, and business impact

Communication: Able to coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineers, business teams, onsite operations, and vendors

Documentation: Can write test scenarios, execution notes, sign-off summaries, and issue reports clearly

Problem solving: Can isolate whether an issue is related to hardware, software, setup, environment, or user flow

Tool familiarity: Experience with Jira, test management tools, logs, and basic reporting tools

Preferred: Good if they have worked with structured QA processes and traceability

High:

Look for examples where the candidate narrowed down an intermittent issue

Look for candidates comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ask for examples of test evidence or summary reports they have created

Ask how they distinguish severity from priority and how they make defects reproducible

The best match is a manual tester who is comfortable working with physical devices and onsite environments, not only web or mobile applications. Candidates with prior experience in hospitality systems, access control, smart locks, or electronic hardware validation will stand out. Experience with Assa Abloy and Visionline is highly preferred and should be treated as a strong differentiator during screening.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $37.91/hour - $59.23/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
