Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis LLC in St. Louis, MO, seeks a qualified Manual Machinist to operate and set up power operated machine tools, repair and fabricate precision components for power generation equipment. Role includes work in the St. Louis shop and on-site field assignments with travel.

You’ll work with lathes, mills, grinders and other precision machinery, maintaining tight tolerances, collaborating with a skilled team, and supporting peak-season demands with extended hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; apprenticeship or trade school preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Experience with a range of machinery including lathes, mills, grinders; ability to set up and operate.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic and international) and extend hours as needed.
• Strong work ethic, safety consciousness, and collaborative, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to repair and fabricate precision components.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.
• Determine efficient work procedures and tooling for assigned tasks.
• Contribute to fieldwork during peak seasons with travel (domestic and international).
• Work extended hours during peak seasons, including day and night shifts.
