Job summary
Weidmann Electrical Technology in Urbana, OH is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our Maintenance team on the 1st shift (4x10). You will operate manual lathes and mills to manufacture, modify, and repair precision components that support production equipment, working closely with Maintenance and Production.
You will read blueprints, use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy, and troubleshoot equipment with the team.
Qualifications
- Experience operating manual lathes and mills to manufacture, modify, and repair precision components.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings and confidently use micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Previous experience in machining, tool room operations, industrial maintenance, or related manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, mills, and related equipment to manufacture, modify, and repair precision components.
- Read blueprints and mechanical drawings and verify dimensions with precision tools.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues with Maintenance and Production teams and support preventive maintenance.
- Expand maintenance skills across hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and VFDs.
