Southern Valve Service seeks an entry-level Manual Machinist Level 1 to assist with and perform basic manual machining operations under supervision. You will learn on lathes, knee mills, and other equipment while working on industrial valve components.
Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of manual machining experience, and vocational training is preferred. The role requires safety awareness and ability to stand for long periods, with overtime as needed.

The Manual Machinist Level 1 position is an entry-level to early-career machining role. This position is responsible for safely assisting with and performing basic manual machining operations under supervision. The employee will learn to work on industrial valve components while developing skills on manual lathes, knee mills, horizontal boring mills, and vertical turret lathes.
The Level 1 machinist should be able to follow instructions, use basic measuring tools, perform simple machining tasks, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Full-time position: Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, with frequent overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer deliveries. Schedule changes may also be required.
