Job summary

Morgan Engineering Systems, Inc. in Alliance, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Manual Machinist to support heavy industrial crane production.

You will operate manual horizontal mills, planer mills, and lathes, reading blueprints and using micrometers to ensure tight tolerances. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years of machining experience, and willingness to work 2nd shift (3:15 PM–1:45 AM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with manual horizontal mills, planer mills, and lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and drawings.
• Ability to use metrological instruments such as micrometers.
• Willing and able to work 2nd shift (3:15 PM - 1:45 AM).

Responsibilities

• Machine components using manual machining equipment
• Perform machine setups and routine maintenance
• Ability to work within tight tolerances
• Use blueprints, sketches, and drawings to machine components
• Inspect and measure components to ensure correct tolerances are met
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Will be trained on day shift, then position will turn to afternoon shift
