Base pay range

$33.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Overview & Responsibilities

Primary Function: To perform complex setups, select tooling and required equipment for machining of parts to required specifications. Develop skill set and experience to plan and oversee repairs with minimal supervision or feedback. Work to any critical tolerance required for the job. Complete work in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• 5 years' experience in manual machining (2nd Class Machinist). Candidates with 3 years' experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift with flexibility for overtime, holidays, and weekends based on workload.
• High School Diploma

• Operate blast booth equipment as required.
• Have advanced knowledge of machine equipment and machining operations, including horizontal and vertical lathes, mills, grinders, deburring tools, fixtures, drill presses, forklifts, cranes, rigging, and computers.
• Use measuring devices accurately: micrometers, indicators, calipers, gauges, etc.
• Understand tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, and documentation.
• Perform complex setups and machine operations such as turning, boring, milling, drilling, grinding, and more.
• Work to critical tolerances and interpret drawings and instructions.
• Reverse engineer components to create drawings or manufacture parts.
• Maintain equipment through basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Measure and record dimensions accurately and pass annual inspections.
• Complete layouts of parts and document actions and irregularities.
• Participate in training and stay updated with technical knowledge.
• Own responsibilities and seek opportunities for improvement.
