Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Sr. Machine Operator/Manual Machinist to operate and maintain production machinery, perform advanced setup, monitor quality, and support training of junior operators in a dynamic shop environment.

You will work with multiple departments, run large mills and lathes, plan tooling needs, and ensure safe, efficient production. Overtime may be required; experience with precision measuring tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have manual machining experience.
• Experience working with turbo machinery is a plus.
• Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks or ability to acquire.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
• No visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.

About the role

The Sr. Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role performs advanced machine setup, monitors production quality, and may assist in training junior operators. This job profile is intended for experienced support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations.
