OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING!

Location: Sherwood, Oregon
Compensation: $24-30/hr. DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday 6am-2:30pm

Who We Are:

A local manufacturing company that engineers, fabricates, and constructs equipment for the farming and logging industry for the last 45 years is looking to hire! This company is proud to buy and make all of its products in the United States. They are involved in the complete process, taking in material and performing everything from CNC machining, welding, and assembly.

What You'll Do:
As a manual machinist, you will work primarily with mills and lathes operating manual process machines, using tools to fabricate, and inspecting parts for defects post-machining.

What You Need to Have:

• Proven experience as a machinist with mills or lathes (2+ years preferred)
• Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
• Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements
• Knowledge of the properties of metals and other materials, mainly mild steel
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals (we are old-school, so interpreting setup sheets is valuable)
• Good math skills with analytical abilities
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items (over 50 lbs.), with overhead cranes available for heavy lifting)
