Jobot is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for 1st shift in Fort Wayne, IN. You will set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and boring mills to produce precision components for industrial repair and rebuild projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manual machining experience preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent measurement skills using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection tools.
• Experience machining large components is a plus.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, and other conventional machine tools.
• Machine, modify, and repair large industrial components to blueprint specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, tolerances, and work instructions.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection equipment.
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds appropriate for various materials and applications.
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards throughout production.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair projects involving worn or damaged equipment.
• Work collaboratively with machinists, welders, and maintenance professionals to complete customer projects.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
