Pro Resources is seeking a 1st Shift Manual Machinist for a client in Fort Wayne, IN. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual machining equipment, including lathes and mills. You will work from blueprints, sketches, or drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances as necessary. Your role will involve setting up machines, making adjustments, and performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Shift and Compensation

• 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7-3:30 PM
• Compensation is from 56,160 USD to 76,960 USD per year

Job Duties

• Operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders to machine parts to exact specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD files to determine machining operations required.
• Set up and adjust machinery to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment to keep machines in proper working order.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and dimensions.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Background Profile

• At least 2 years’ experience running manual lathes and mills
• Able to read and interpret various prints
• Able to observe machine operation to detect out of tolerance machine and adjust accordingly
• Valid driver's license
• Able to work in various environments
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a drug screen
