About this role

This position requires a creative and proven service leader who can innovate in food and beverage operations by understanding current industry trends.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in English communication skills.
  • Training and Experience: Over two years of cooking experience in upscale, luxury hotel or restaurant settings, plus post-secondary culinary training or certification as a "Cook" from a recognized culinary school.
  • Job Knowledge: Strong understanding of Food Service Sanitation Standards and kitchen equipment.
Job Summary

Prepare food to order following standard recipes, plate dishes according to presentation criteria, and ensure high-quality, timely service.

Physical Abilities

Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  2. Arrive on time and in proper attire.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
  4. Ensure food quality and safety standards are met, including proper storage, preparation, and sanitation.
  5. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions.
  6. Assist with team efforts and communicate effectively with staff and management.
  7. Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
