Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required for eligibility.
• Three years mentoring/advocacy experience with African American male teens preferred.
• Experience teaching strategies addressing institutional racism toward African American male youth preferred.
• Ability to model anger management and constructive communication with African American male students.

Responsibilities

• Build trust with students and families, linking academics to life experiences.
• Facilitate outcomes including lifelong learning and stronger school Connectedness.
• Identify resources to meet diverse student needs and maintain records.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues; collaborate with peers.
• Model professional standards and uphold district equity policies.
