Job summary

Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School in Washington, DC seeks a SY 26-27 Chinese Teaching Fellow for PreK 3–Kindergarten. The Fellow will start as a classroom assistant and gradually take on co-teaching responsibilities to grow into a lead teacher.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Degree in education from an accredited institution preferred.
• Master’s degree in education preferred.
• Native‑level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required.

• Demonstrated ability to help teach in interactive, hands-on, inquiry-based ways that promote self-discovery and critical thinking.
• Assist the lead teacher to foster high academic expectations within students.
• Clear understanding of child development.
