Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School in Washington, DC is seeking a SY 27-28 Chinese Teaching Fellow for Pre K 3-Kindergarten to support early years language immersion. This 10-month, full-time exempt role reports to the Director of Fellows and Early Years Campus Principal and involves gradually taking on co-teaching responsibilities toward a lead teaching position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Master’s degree in education preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated ability to help teach in ways that are interactive, hands‑on, inquiry‑based, and promote self‑discovery and critical thinking
• Demonstrated ability to assist the lead teacher foster high academic expectations within students
• Clear understanding of child development
