Manchester Tank in Illinois seeks a Production Associate to support daily manufacturing operations. You will read blueprints, supervise production flow, and uphold safety and quality standards.

• Train new employees and ensure the team follows processes and safety procedures.
• Identify bottlenecks, monitor workflow, and adjust to meet targets.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor and shut down if necessary.

Job Description

Responsibilities: Including the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• A Champion of McWane Way values and principles with the ability to drive the same through production team members.
• Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately identify parts and tanks to ship.
• Direct workers engaged in production activities to ensure the continuous production of conforming products in the most efficient and safe manner possible.
• Operate equipment or assist with production tasks when needed to maintain throughput.
• Utilize handheld tools such as handheld screw guns, drill guns, and grinders.
• Operate nail guns, rivet guns, palm grinders, bonding tools and other measuring tools.
• Train new employees and ensure the whole team follows processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Answer questions, solve minor issues, and elevate bigger problems to a supervisor.
• Fill in for supervisor when they are absent.
• Rotate between multiple stations based on shipping, stockroom, and warehouse needs.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and make quick adjustments to keep targets on track.
• Looks for opportunities to get team members involved in safety, environmental, process changes, and overall improvement efforts.
• Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
• Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
• Shut down the process if unsafe.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
