The University System of New Hampshire invites applications for a part-time Project Coordinator to administer and coordinate the Manchester CREATES program. You will work with UNH faculty, the Manchester School District, and industry partners to plan and implement teacher professional development in regenerative medicine and biofabrication.

The role emphasizes day-to-day administration, budgeting, reporting, and liaison duties to ensure program success and continuity.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver teacher professional development related to project-based learning, biofabrication and regenerative medicine for Manchester School District middle and high school teachers
• Guide and assist teachers as they implement project-based, regenerative medicine focused projects in their classrooms during the school year
• Foster a professional learning community that meets on a regular basis during the school year
• Assist with evaluation and communication activities
• Track project costs to meet budget requirements; ensure appropriate use of federal funds
• Oversee preparation of project fiscal and technical reports
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders and the PI
• Coordinate the organized closeout and transfer of all project documentation, program materials, records, and institutional knowledge to the PI to ensure continuity and preservation of project resources

Job description

This individual will provide administration and project coordination for Manchester CREATES the Future - the Manchester Collaborative for Regenerative Medicine Education and Training for Engineers and Scientists of the Future (Manchester CREATES). This is a part-time staff position.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative, fiscal, and operational activities of the teacher professional development program associated with Manchester CREATES. They will work collaboratively the project's Faculty Principal Investigator, the Manchester School District, other University of New Hampshire faculty and staff, as well as the biofabrication industry in Manchester. The Project Coordinator will facilitate the planning and implementation of teacher professional development. They will report directly to the Principal Investigator.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Teacher Professional Development - 80 %
• Plan, coordinate and deliver teacher professional development related to project-based learning, biofabrication and regenerative medicine for Manchester School District middle and high school teachers
• Guide and assist teachers as they implement project-based, regenerative medicine focused projects in their classrooms during the school year
• Foster a professional learning community that meets on a regular basis during the school year
• Reporting and Administrative Tasks - 20%
• Assist with evaluation and communication activities
• Track project costs to meet budget requirements; ensure appropriate use of federal funds
• Oversee preparation of project fiscal and technical reports
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders and the PI
• Coordinate the organized closeout and transfer of all project documentation, program materials, records, and institutional knowledge to the PI to ensure continuity and preservation of project resources

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in education or a STEM related field (biology, chemistry, bioengineering is a plus)
• 3-5 years of experience working in middle or high school setting as a teacher, administrator, counselor OR in a similar education workforce development roll

Compensation Pay Range: $31.25 /hour
