Job summary

We are seeking a full‑time Managing Veterinarian to join and guide our veterinary team. Are you a veterinarian who is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and practicing high‑quality medicine in a positive and dynamic environment? We want to hear from you!

Potential Ownership Interest: Provided you maintain continued employment and good standing with the Hospital, you may be permitted to participate in the JV Pathway to Partnership Program or similar program which may prepare you to purchase an agreed‑upon ownership interest in the Hospital at a future date. The terms of any such program are subject to change at the Company’s discretion and without notice. The purchase of any ownership interest shall be in accordance with any terms the Board deems appropriate at such time in the future.

About Kernersville Veterinary Hospital
  • We are a small animal hospital equipped with two exam rooms and two surgical suites, plus a dedicated dental station.
  • Our services include general wellness care, dentistry, diagnostic services, surgery, laser therapy, travel certificates, and end‑of‑life care.
  • We offer in‑house ultrasounds, digital radiographic diagnostics, tonopen procedures, and an in‑house laboratory to support fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Compensation
  • Up to $140,000 base salary plus production bonuses
  • Leadership and sign on bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, ancillary coverage & 401k
  • Attractive PTO and a rotating schedule which will provide a healthy work‑life balance from large blocks of days off, including weekends and no on‑call hours required
  • $2,500 in CE and in addition we will pay for licensing, DEA, dues & fees
The Day to Day
  • Provide medical leadership and direction to the veterinary team.
  • Oversee the quality of care and medical protocols across the hospital.
  • Foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes learning, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Ensure exceptional client service and education.
  • Work closely with hospital management to meet financial and operational goals.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of clinical duties alongside leadership responsibilities.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university. Prior leadership experience.
  • Active North Carolina veterinary license (or ability to obtain).
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A team‑oriented leader who motivates and mentors others.
  • Passion for client education and delivering excellent patient care.
