Qualifications

Eastview Veterinary Clinic is a well-established (since 1973), high-volume, walk-in based practice near Nashville, TN, seeking a confident, experienced Managing Veterinarian ready to step into leadership while continuing to practice hands-on medicine in our walk-in / urgent care / GP hybrid model.

Overview

The Managing Veterinarian partners with the Hospital Manager to drive the financial performance and general operations of the hospital, and to cultivate a supportive, collaborative team environment. You'll be supported and mentored by the Divisional Leadership Team through practice management training, reporting, and ongoing resources to lead a best-in-class clinic. The Managing Doctor will be responsible for:

  • Advancing Medical Care through establishing protocols, oversight, and quality of care.
  • Leading Staff and Practice by providing mentorship and support.
  • Financial Responsibilities to aid in the success of the practice.
  • Growing the Practice through innovative change and services as well as community involvement.

  • No nights. No overnight emergencies. No on-call rotation.
  • Closed weekends - no Saturday or Sunday shifts
  • No extended/late hours - predictable, consistent daily schedule
  • Still fast-paced and case-diverse - walk-in urgent care flow, real-time decision-making, and a full range of cases from wellness to surgery to same-day urgent visits
  • Leadership with support, not isolation - you set the medical direction, backed by a Hospital Manager and Divisional Leadership Team who handle the logistics
  • You shape the team's day - instead of an overbooked schedule stacked against you, you help design how the practice runs

  • Associate DVMs who you'll mentor and collaborate with in a low-ego, case-discussion culture

Skills and Basic Qualifications
