Job summary

Asheville Veterinary Associates – South, in Asheville, NC, is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as Managing Veterinarian. In this role you will lead our three-doctor practice, mentor staff, and ensure the highest standard of patient care with compassionate client service.

You will establish medical protocols, oversee surgical and medical cases, drive revenue growth, participate in recruiting, and collaborate with practice management on inventory control and cost management while

Qualifications

  • DVM from an accredited university and NC license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience with leadership/management experience.
  • Strong surgical and medical skills and excellent communication.
  • Interest in integrative medicine and business/financial management capabilities.

Asheville Veterinary Associates is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as Managing Veterinarian. Asheville Veterinary Associates has been a cornerstone of compassionate veterinary care in the Asheville community since 1972. Our Team

Asheville Veterinary Associates is a three-doctor practice working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care. As Managing Veterinarian, you will lead our talented team while fostering a supportive environment that encourages professional growth, learning, and excellence in patient care.

  • Provide strategic medical leadership and oversight for all veterinary operations.
  • Establish and maintain medical protocols and quality care standards
  • Mentor and develop associate veterinarians and support staff
  • Monitor doctor performance and production
  • Oversee surgical and medical cases, ensuring positive outcomes and excellent client communication
  • Drive revenue growth
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing process for doctors and key staff members
  • Collaborate with practice management on business initiatives and hospital growth
  • Support inventory management and cost control measures
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and the community

Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) an accredited university
  • Current North Carolina veterinary license in good standing

  • Demonstrated team leadership and development capabilities
