Job summary

C&S Companies is seeking a Managing Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary Mechanical Department. You will lead HVAC design and project management across diverse projects including Higher Education, Municipal Facilities, Industrial, and Healthcare, coordinating client relationships and design teams from concept to construction.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, and proficiency with CADD and REVIT; PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related mechanical/HVAC design and PM experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• PE licensure is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of design and construction documents.
• Experience working with private and public clients.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Managing Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team in our Mechanical Department. We offer full service in-house architecture/engineering design capabilities and typically work on a diverse array of projects including Higher Education, Municipal Facilities, Industrial, Design-build, Aviation and Healthcare.

Responsibilities include working on all phases of projects such as client relationships, design, specifications, project team coordination, construction documents, code analysis and consultant interaction.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 10+ years of related mechanical/HVAC design and project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Professional licensure PE is preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of design and construction documents.
• Proficiency in CADD & REVIT.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to succeed in small and large multi-disciplinary team environments.
• Ability to set deadlines, assign resources, monitor/summarize project progress.
• Good graphic, communications (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to lead small and large project teams and multiple projects from concept to construction.
• Higher Education and Healthcare experience
• Experience working with both private and public clients

Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits

$100,000 - $150,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
