As Managing Editor of Frontiers Magazine, Assistant Communications Manager, and Grant Writer, you will oversee planning, writing, design, production, and distribution for two issues annually reaching 15,000–20,000 alumni.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and must be completed by start date (BYU).
• At least 1 year of technical writing/editing experience required.
• Ability to develop engaging content for diverse audiences (technical and scientific).
• Experience coordinating with writers and designers; meeting publication deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Managing Editor of Frontiers Magazine, Assistant Communications Manager, and Grant Writer for the Dean of CMS.
• Plan, write, edit, design, produce, print, and distribute two Frontiers Magazine issues annually to 15,000–20,000 alumni.
• Develop engaging editorial content; collaborate with faculty and freelance writers; ensure BYU branding and standards.
• Support college communications by creating content for newsletters, websites, emails, and announcements.
• Manage timelines and approvals; work with college leadership, faculty, staff, and students.
• Supervise student staff; provide training and mentorship; monitor performance and deadlines.
• Develop grant proposals and supporting documentation with faculty researchers and administrators.
