Job summary

PVH Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Newsroom Editor to oversee daily operations across platforms. You will guide editorial strategy, manage a diverse team of editors and reporters, and ensure timely, accurate, and engaging content.

Your role includes budgeting, scheduling, and upholding high ethical journalism standards. You will collaborate with senior management to shape tone and coverage priorities, while optimizing workflows and storytelling approaches in a fast-paced digital

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field or minimum of five years of journalism experience with digital news production and editorial management.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a news team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong editorial judgment and understanding of news values and journalistic ethics.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms and audience demographics.
  • Experience with CMS, SEO best practices, and web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets, editorial plans, and content calendars.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking, able to adapt to rapid industry changes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily news operation, ensuring editorial consistency across desks, formats and platforms.
  • Manage daily editorial workflow, including scheduling, assignments, and production timelines.
  • Shape the editorial agenda, tone, voice, coverage priorities and long-term strategy with senior management.
  • Contribute to strategic planning to improve editorial processes, workflows, and storytelling approaches.
  • Develop and maintain the editorial calendar, ensuring timeliness of publications.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of editors, journalists, photographers, and producers.
  • Serve as a senior editor, refining voice, clarity, and impact across formats.
  • Review and approve sensitive or high-stakes content before publication.
  • Coordinate with creative, digital, IT, and marketing teams to support packaging and promotion of stories.
  • Manage editorial staffing and budgets, including onboarding and newsroom culture.
  • Ensure content meets accuracy, legal compliance, and ethical journalism standards.
  • Provide regular reports on editorial performance and departmental goals.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management to ensure smooth operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior management to shape the company’s editorial agenda, tone, voice, coverage priorities and long-term strategy.

  • Contribute to strategic planning to improve editorial processes, workflows, and storytelling approaches.

  • Develop and maintain the editorial calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and publishing is timely and relevant.

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of editors, journalists, photographers, producers, and other editorial staff.

  • Serve as a senior editor, editing news across formats and working closely with journalists to refine voice, clarity, and impact.

  • Review and approve sensitive, investigative, or high-stakes content before publication.

  • Coordinate with the creative, digital, IT, and marketing teams to support the packaging, promotion, and presentation of stories for reach and engagement.

  • Manage editorial staffing and budgets, including resource allocation, onboarding, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance newsroom culture.

  • Ensure all editorial content upholds the highest standards of accuracy, legal compliance, and ethical journalism.

  • Provide regular reports on editorial performance, team output, and departmental goals.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the company.
