Qualifications

• 15+ years in investment banking/leveraged finance/private credit origination.
• Established network of middle-market sponsors.
• Proven track record of originating and developing credit opportunities through direct relationships.
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting, capital structures, and investment execution.
• Experience converting relationships to completed transactions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and deepen relationships with private equity sponsors, portfolio company executives and key intermediaries to generate proprietary deal flow.
• Lead sponsor coverage and develop a structured approach to prioritising target relationships and origination opportunities.
• Identify complex and differentiated credit investment opportunities, including refinancing, recapitalisations, liquidity needs and bespoke financing.
• Partner with the investment team to assess opportunities, contribute to underwriting and structuring, and progress transactions through execution.
• Develop an understanding of sponsor portfolios, anticipate financing requirements and identify opportunities ahead of formal processes.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospective transactions with disciplined relationship management, follow-up and CRM reporting.
• Collaborate with legal, capital markets and portfolio management teams to facilitate deal execution and ongoing engagement.
• Represent the firm in the market, building its profile and strengthening relationships across the private credit ecosystem.

This is a senior, commercially focused role for an individual with an established sponsor network and a proven ability to source differentiated investment opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with investment professionals to identify, structure and execute attractive credit transactions across a range of industries and capital structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deepen relationships with private equity sponsors, portfolio company executives and key intermediaries to generate proprietary deal flow.

Experience & Background

• 15+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, cash-flow lending or private credit origination.
• An established network of middle-market and upper-middle-market private equity sponsors.
• A proven track record of originating and developing credit investment opportunities through direct relationships.
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting, capital structures, transaction structuring and investment execution.
• Experience working alongside investment teams to assess opportunities and convert relationships into completed transactions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to engage senior sponsors and company executives.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative investment environment.
