Managing Director, Market Executive - Minneapolis Region for Diversified Industries

We are seeking a Managing Director to lead the Minneapolis market for our Diversified Industries Group, covering middle-market businesses ($50MM - $2B revenue). The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader and business developer with a strong local presence, leveraging an existing client base and prospect relationships to drive profitable new client acquisition. This position reports to the Head of Diversified Industries, East.

The role requires facilitating growth initiatives through business development, managing key client relationships, and maintaining a record of revenue generation. The candidate should motivate teams, ensure compliance with internal control standards, and support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Fostering a team culture aligned with BMO's purpose, values, and strategy.
  2. Ensuring diversity and inclusion in all activities.
  3. Setting inspirational goals and defining clear outcomes.
  4. Building collaborative, high-performing teams.
  5. Attracting and developing top talent.

Qualifications:
  • Typically 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth credit and portfolio management knowledge.
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, economics, or accounting.
  • Extensive experience in financial services, especially in corporate lending and business development.
  • Formal credit training and lending authority.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
Salary:

$153,600.00 - $285,600.00, paid salaried, with potential performance incentives and benefits.
