Job summary

The Managing Director will build a cross-functional strategy, manage the Health Program team, and represent the Foundation with grantees and external partners, advancing systemic change in health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s or terminal degree preferred.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in health, philanthropy, or related fields.
• Ability to lead cross-programmatic strategy and manage teams; strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven track record building equity-focused health systems and partnering with external organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead vision and strategy for grantmaking and social investing in the Health Program.
• Collaborate with other programs to identify cross-program opportunities and leverage collaborations.
• Represent The Kresge Foundation and cultivate relationships with external partners, grantees, and other foundations.
• Develop and support the Health Program team and establish clear communication and management structures.
