Job summary

Forbes News Today is seeking a Managing Director, Foundation Partnerships in New York City to lead strategy and execution of private foundation partnerships supporting UNICEF’s programs. You will manage a large grant portfolio and mentor a growing team.

Reporting to the Vice President, you will cultivate relationships, negotiate terms, and coordinate with UNICEF Global. Strong leadership, negotiation, and travel readiness are essential to drive impact across sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in a partnership management or strategic partnerships role.
• Experience leading and managing high performing development teams.
• Demonstrated relationship-building skills, ability to generate revenue, and partnership management experience.
• Proven ability to mobilize and grow private sector support; ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Ability to travel to domestic and international locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, develop and implement current multi-sector partnership strategies with a large grant portfolio (> $500M).
• Identify, develop and grow relationships with new multi-sector foundation partners and funding opportunities.
• Manage a team responsible for relationship management, cultivation of opportunities, and grants management.
• Oversee proposal development and contracting process for grant funding, including negotiating terms.
• Lead collaboration with UNICEF Global to ensure strong partnership coordination and strategy alignment.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and monitor grant implementation and reporting.
• Develop and lead cross-UNICEF collaboration and coordination mechanisms across divisions.
