Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking a Managing Director for Project Controls & PMCM to lead and grow the Texas operation from Houston. The role combines delivery leadership, client management, and business development across major capital projects in the region.

You will oversee PMCM and project controls, manage a growing team, guide cost estimating and scheduling, and cultivate relationships with clients and partners while pursuing new opportunities to strengthen the portfolio and market position in Texas.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in project controls and PMCM leadership.
  • Experience delivering major capital projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and grow client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the Texas infrastructure market.
  • Experience with proposals and strategic pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of PMCM and project controls assignments across Texas.
  • Oversee cost estimating, scheduling, QA/QC and related controls.
  • Manage project performance across scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Mentor and develop a growing team of PM/CM professionals.
  • Drive resource allocation and support recruitment as the business grows.
  • Build strong client, partner and stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities and support proposals and pricing.

Managing Director - Project Controls & PMCM

Location: Houston, TX / Texas
Working arrangement: Hybrid
Sector: Infrastructure / Construction / PMCM


We are supporting an established project and construction management consultancy that is looking to appoint a senior leader to oversee and grow its Texas operation.


This is a key leadership position combining project delivery, project controls, client management, team leadership and business development.


The successful individual will take responsibility for a portfolio of PMCM and project controls work across Texas, while helping develop client relationships, grow the team and secure new opportunities.


The Role

You will be responsible for:



  • Leading the delivery of PMCM and Project Controls assignments across Texas.

  • Providing oversight across cost estimating, scheduling, QA/QC and related project controls functions.

  • Managing project performance across scope, schedule, budget and quality.

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a growing team of project and construction management professionals.

  • Managing resource allocation and supporting recruitment as the business grows.

  • Building strong relationships with clients, partners and key stakeholders.

  • Identifying and pursuing new project opportunities across the Texas market.

  • Supporting proposals, pricing, contract negotiations and strategic pursuits.

  • Maintaining involvement in project delivery while taking broader responsibility for the performance and growth of the region.

  • Representing the business at client meetings, networking events and industry functions.


What We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have:



  • Strong experience within Project Controls, PMCM, Construction Management or major capital projects.

  • Significant cost estimating experience, ideally working on behalf of an owner, agency or program management organization.

  • Knowledge of scheduling, project controls and construction/project delivery.

  • Experience managing teams and overseeing multiple projects or programs.

  • Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills.

  • Experience supporting or directly winning new business.

  • A strong understanding of the Texas infrastructure and construction market.

  • The ambition to take ownership of a regional operation and play a major role in its future growth.


This could suit an experienced Project Controls Director, Program Controls Director, PMCM Director, Senior Project Controls Manager or Regional Manager who is ready to take on broader operational and commercial responsibility.
