Job summary

Valent Partners is seeking a Managing Consultant to design, execute, and deliver solutions for clients' toughest business challenges. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with executives to plan and execute engagements.

Internally, you will help grow Valent as a destination place to build a career. You will work in small teams, apply mature agile principles, and participate in pay transparency with a target annual range disclosed by Valent.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in technology consulting, program leadership, systems integration, or related role.
• Experience leading technical implementation projects or programs (digital transformation, process reengineering, ERP systems, cloud migration, AI and automation).
• Strong analytical skills connecting technical solutions to business objectives and client outcomes.
• Experience leading small teams and delivering successful project outcomes, while contributing to the work.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job description

As a Managing Consultant at Valent Partners, you will design, execute, and deliver solutions for our clients’ toughest business challenges. On a typical day, you might expect to lead complex, multi-threaded projects to streamline client business processes and technology environments, develop go-to-market strategies, execute change management initiatives, or lead business and technology transformation initiatives. You will be expected to mentor junior team members and lead cross-functional teams in the execution of different workstreams. You will work alongside clients and interface with executive stakeholders to plan and execute successful engagements. Internally, you will collaborate with other Valent leaders in leading the operations of our business and contribute directly to the growth of Valent as a destination place to build one’s career.

HOW WE WORK

• We work in small (typically 2-8 person) project teams that work alongside clients to solve their toughest challenges
• We employ principles of mature agile development to deliver high quality value to clients faster
• We require four days a week in-person. Depending on the client’s location, team members may work with their project team at the client site or from the Valent office
• We add value best when collaborating directly with our clients and with each other, in person whenever possible and virtually, if necessary
• We staff team members on a variety of projects across different industries, technology platforms, etc. to give you a breadth of experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
• Minimum of five years of experience in technology consulting, program leadership, systems integration, or related role
• Experience leading technical implementation projects or programs (i.e., digital transformation, process reengineering, ERP systems, cloud migration, AI and automation)
• Strong understanding of change management frameworks, Agile methodologies, and project management tools
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect technical solutions to business objectives and client outcomes
• Experience leading small teams and delivering successful project outcomes, while also contributing directly to the work being done
• Skilled at driving alignment across cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
• Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks to meet diverse client needs
• Previous consulting experience preferred
• Legally authorized to work for any company in the United States without sponsorship

Valent believes in pay transparency, providing candidates with a reasonable estimate of the annual pay range for this role. This includes the range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to; skill sets; experience and training; certifications; etc. Each candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience will play a role in determining where they fall within the provided pay range. A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $144,000 - $176,000.

In addition to base salary, Valent offers a profit-sharing bonus (based on the company's performance against growth targets) and an Individual Excellence bonus (based on individual performance).
