Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Sustainable/Green Technologies, or a related field and 7 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in same with 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience must include environmental compliance, site investigation and remediation using SVE, eISB, ISCO, PRB, groundwater extraction and treatment, and regulatory familiarity.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage site investigation and remediation projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Develop cost estimates and client proposals with detailed scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, work plans, technical reports, and regulatory submittals.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise junior staff, mentoring and fostering growth.
  • Direct RAES engineers, geologists, CAD and GIS staff on drawings and specs.
  • Supervise field activities such as drilling, sampling, vapor intrusion assessments, and pilot testing.
  • Serve as primary client contact ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project.

Experience must include:

Environmental compliance, site investigation, and site remediation using soil vapor extraction (SVE), enhanced in-situ bioremediation (eISB), in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), permeable reactive barriers (PRB), and groundwater extraction and treatment, as well as experience with federal, state, and local environmental regulations pertaining to environmental compliance, site investigation, and site remediation, PFAS, PFOA, and other emerging contaminants.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead and manage site investigation and remediation projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence, and direct technical analysis of complicated site contamination and regulatory compliance issues

Duties include:

· Develop cost estimates and client proposals with detailed scopes, schedules, and budgets, and oversee the successful execution of deliverables for site investigation related projects including remediation techniques.

· Prepare and deliver proposals, work plans, technical reports, and regulatory submittals for site investigation related projects, including technical review of project documents for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.

· Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, directing and overseeing junior staff, mentoring and fostering technical growth and career development for junior staff.

· Direct and supervise RAES engineers, geologists, computer-aided design (CAD) and geographic information system (GIS) staff to develop engineering drawings and technical specifications for site investigation related projects.

· Direct and review field activities such as drilling, soil/groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion assessments, and pilot testing, including selection and direction to RAES subcontractors.

· Serve as primary client contact, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

· Provide feedback to support performance evaluations.

Additional information

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $86,000 - $100,000 annually and does not include bonuses, overtime or other forms of compensation or benefits. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
