Job summary

Mathematica is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead projects in early childhood and human services, focusing on Head Start and related programs. The role requires coordinating teams, guiding clients, and delivering high-quality policy and programmatic solutions.

You will oversee project lifecycle activities, engage with federal and state partners, and contribute to technical assistance and monitoring efforts while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in early childhood education, human services, public administration, or related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive professional experience directly related to early childhood programs, preferably Head Start/Early Head Start.

Responsibilities

• Builds collaborative relationships with federal, state, and other clients and partners to identify needs and strengthen program capacity.
• Collaborates with clients to develop and implement program improvement strategies and technical assistance plans based on data and evidence.
• Leads multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor federal and state policies, including Head Start initiatives.
• Supports grants management, regulatory compliance monitoring, and related technical assistance activities.
• Aggregates and analyzes information from multiple sources to assess program performance and develop actionable recommendations.
